MARY LOU TANNER JOINS NIAGARA PLANNING GROUP (NPG)

On behalf of Niagara Planning Group (NPG) Inc., John Henricks, MCIP, RPP (President) is very pleased to welcome Mary Lou Tanner, FCIP, RPP to the NPG team as the firm’s new Principal Planner. Mary Lou is also joining the company as a new partner.
Mary Lou is a highly respected professional planner in Ontario and Canada, with over 30 years in professional planning in the Greater Toronto Area and Niagara Region. For the past 4 years, Mary Lou was with the City of Burlington as Deputy City Manager and Director of Planning and Building. Mary Lou has extensive experience with Niagara Region having led the Region’s planning services and the creation of the Department of Planning and Development Services in 2014. Mary Lou worked closely with each of Niagara’s twelve local municipalities providing exceptional customer service and outcome focused solutions, tackling some of Niagara’s most challenging issues.
In 2019, Mary Lou was elected as a “Fellow” of the Canadian Institute of Planners (FCIP) – the Canadian planning profession’s highest individual honour. Mary Lou continues to lead significant work on behalf of Canada’s planning professionals.
With Mary Lou Tanner taking on the role of Principal Planner in conjunction with John Henricks’ continued role with NPG, their team will continue to place the highest emphasis on NPG’s reputation for providing excellent customer service.
